Formula Feeding Calculator
Calculate how much formula your baby needs per bottle and per day based on age and weight.
How Formula Feeding Amounts Are Calculated
Formula feeding amounts follow the same AAP weight-based guideline as general infant feeding, using ml/kg/day targets adjusted by age:
- 0-3 months: ~150 ml/kg/day, ~8 bottles/day
- 4-6 months: ~150 ml/kg/day, ~6 bottles/day
- 7-9 months: ~120 ml/kg/day, ~5 bottles/day
- 10-12 months: ~100 ml/kg/day, ~4 bottles/day
- 13-24 months: ~80 ml/kg/day, ~3 bottles/day
The per-bottle amount is the daily total divided by the number of daily feedings. Results are shown in both ml and oz. Always follow hunger cues rather than strictly measured amounts.
